Miss USA Rachel Smith slips at the Miss Universe competition
During one of the most awaited segments of the Miss Universe Pageant, the evening gown competition, Miss USA slips as she sashayed the runway. Obviously disoriented from the fall, she successfully regained her poise to continue her walk. "Poor you, Miss USA". Well, she was able to grab the 4th runner up crown despite this unfortunate incident.

Chinese models being prepped up for a shoot
Here are three interesting videos which I found on the net showing how Shanghai-based Chinese models are prepared for a photoshoot. Do they really have to oil up every inch of these naive male models' bodies? And do they really have to reapply oil on these guys bodies over and over even when the actual shoot hasn't even started? I wonder what this shoot is for. :p

Janice Dickinson Modelling Agency: Casting Call for AussieBum
Janice Dickinson used to be a judge in America's Next Top Model, but after some time, she decided to put up her own modelling agency with an accompanying reality show "the Janice Dickinson Modelling Agency". Its a real modelling agency which has an office at the Hollywood and Highlands Building near the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, California.
The show started out by casting female and male models. However, when the show's producers realized that Janice Dickinson's crazy antics of "taking advantage" of her male model wannabes added to the spice of the show, they decided to focus on casting for male models.
The agency boasts of talents from all over the US and this is one of the reasons why AussieBum, an underwear brand in Australia, picked them to choose the right guy to represent them in their quest to conquer the American Market. Here is an excerpt from that episode

Melinda Doolittle on American Idol
I opened my email this morning and I clicked on a mail which has for its heading something about macho dancers. However, there was an ad for the youtube video of this particular girl, Melinda Doolittle. I thought it was about the movie of the little girl who had telekinesis (the movie, I later realized, was entitled Matilda, well, silly me...)
I clicked on the link, and it was an American Idol Clip. I watched it and WOW! I was dumbstruck. This Melinda Doolittle is not visually appealing but she compensates with her great talent. Well, I'm not an American Idol fan, but I think I am a newly converted Melinda Doolittle fan! Her voice is awesome.

8 Men's Fashion Mistakes to Avoid
Men's fashion mistakes - We all make fashion errors now and again, but some fashion mistakes made by men are just unforgivable. I have outlined eight fashion mistakes to avoid at all costs.
1. Socks with Sandals
2. Novelty Ties, Shirts, Boxer Shorts, Etc. - Leave the smiley faces, hearts, reindeer, shamrocks, animal and various other prints on the racks of the store where you found them.
3. Blaring Designer Labels - You don’t want to be a walking advertisement. It’s not a sophisticated look. Just because you are wearing a designer’s name on your chest, sleeve, or wherever, doesn’t make you stylish. Keep it understated and simple.
4. Backpacks at the Office - Unless you are a student or are hiking up a mountain, leave the backpack at home. If you need something for your gym clothes, buy a nice looking gym bag (and there are options that don’t have big logos on them), or if you need something to carry your assorted papers, cell phone, day-planner, etc., get a nice messenger bag.
5. Chunky Shoes - These were okay back in the 90s, but the big chunky shoes, especially those with square toes, should be retired at this point. Choose something classic that stands the test of time.
6. Shiny or Glittery Shirts and Suits - If you are looking for something to go out nightclubbing in, I can think of much better choices than those that are glittery, shiny and ultimately tacky. If you are at a loss, try a form fitting black t-shirt or black dress shirt which can be worn with jeans or trousers and dress shoes or casual shoes.
7. Clothes That Are Too Loose Fitting - In a word, sloppy. Unless you are a hip hop artist, it’s not the right look. Choose clothes that fit your body. This might take some experimentation by mixing and matching certain cuts and styles until you find the right fit for your body that is flattering.
8. Unflattering Colors - That shirt found on sale might be really tempting, but if it makes you look ill it’s no bargain. The colors you wear should compliment your natural features such as your skin tone and body shape. Keep this in mind when putting your look together.

Resonax: Dermatological Breakthrough
I was listening to a radio program a few days ago and there was this doctor who was discussing the benefits of the resonax treatment for fat reduction, so I searched the net and this is what I found out: Resonax is a new equipment, which promotes a bio-stimulation, based on a highly innovative functioning principle. The resonax treatment is a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment for fat reduction and wrinkle and acne minimization. According to skin-md.net, the results are immediately visible - treated areas acquire a turgidity and an elasticity proper of a younger skin. The treatment also: reduces the wrinkles on the face (cheeks, eye contour, front, neck) and causes tightening of face and body tissues (abdomen, thigh, forearms). Very good results have also been obtained in the therapy against acne and cellulite. In the Philippines, Resonax is primarily used for fat reduction and could give immediate results of 4-8 inches off your waist in just 45 minutes. I just don't know how much it costs to undergo the treatment, though. As of the moment, only one dermatological clinic called "Zen" offers this treatment and it's located in The Fort in Taguig. Harry Potter goes daring
Daniel Radcliffe, who is best known for playing Harry Potter in the silverscreen, is now ready to take off his clothes for the British West End theater production of "Equus", according to gossipword.com. The producer of the stage play, David Pugh, has this to say of Daniel: “There was no hesitancy about taking off his clothes." Who would have guessed that the nerdy-looking little kid would turn out to be a gorgeous hunk a few years later? I hope "Ron" doesn't get naked too... unless he turns out to be as hot as "Harry". Honestly, I feel a bit squeamish for being turned on by his naked pics because this kid literally grew up right before our very eyes via the Harry Potter movies. Well, enough said, just enjoy the pics. |
